Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAUL GRANT MELNYK It is with greatest sorrow we announce the passing of our dearly loved Paul. After a short grave illness he lost the battle for life on February 17, 2006. Paul was born October 29, 1960. He had a great zest for life, loved people and those that knew him, loved him. He attended St. John's High School, where he enjoyed basketball, and was so proud to be on the Provincial Championship team. Upon graduating he joined Canadian Pacific Railway and was employed there for 28 years. Prior to meeting his wife, his first love was scuba diving. And it was on a dive trip to Honduras where he met and married his beautiful Nance, in 1988. They returned and settled in Winnipeg, and in 1994 their precious Sarah was born. He leaves to grieve his wife Nance; cherished daughter Sarah; his parents, Peter and Adele, to whom he brought great joy; his brother Bruce (Patti) and their children, Taylor and Riley. He is survived by Uncles Wally and Harry and Aunt Mary, and their families, and will be especially missed by Uncle Adam and Aunt Eleanor; as well as special cousins, Laura, Mike and Corrie, who were such a comfort and great support in our time of need. Paul also had an extended family in Florida and abroad who loved him dearly and mourn his passing. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. (Bannerman Avenue and Arlington Street). Rev. Fr. I. Dziadyk officiating. Service terminating at the church. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
