GORDON KURAS It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gordon Kuras on February 17, 2006. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty of 44 years; his son Paul; daughter-in-law Micheline and fur child Cody. Gordon was born on July 18, 1934, and was raised and schooled in Point Douglas. He was an industrial mechanic and worked for Bristol Aircraft, Winnipeg Supply, and retired with 31 years service from Canada Safeway Bread Plant. Gordy enjoyed sunsets, time at the cottage, hunting, snowmobiling and reading. The highlight of his life was his son and daughter-in-law's wedding in Maui, HI. A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Rev Troy van Ginkel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 9Z9, or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
