Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD DESORCY Gerard, peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2006, at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 78 years with his loving family at his side. Gerard will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marie Anne and his five children, Monique (Norman), Diane (Floyd), Denis (Donna), Paulette (Maurice) and Philippe (Sherry). He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, Brian, Krystal, Kristopher, Dominique, Jacqueline, Joelle, Denis Jr., Heather, Danielle, Allison, Rheal, Gerard and Therese. Gerard had also been blessed with four great-grandchildren. Gerard left behind sisters Gertrude, Bernadette, Florence and Eugenie; and brothers Edouard (Milly) and George (Alice); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Alphonsine and father Ubald; brother Leonard, and sisters, Ida and Irene and several beloved in-laws. Gerard was born in Lorette, September 14, 1927. He spent his adult life on the farm, raising a family, as well as maintaining a full time job in Winnipeg. His passion for woodworking and gardening was fulfilled with having Marie Anne working by his side. Gerard had a great love of life and people, a true sense of family and a strong faith. He touched the lives of all who knew him, generously helping family, friends and neighbours. Gerard taught others many of his wonderful qualities such as patience, faithfulness, work ethic and principles, by example. He had a warm sense of humour. A special thank you to the staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, at Notre Dame de Lorette Parish. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Armand Le Gal following the prayers. Interment will take place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
