Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOn Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at his residence, Eugene Frederick "Buck" Peltier, of Portage la Prairie, and formerly of St. Charles, MB, beloved widower of the late Anne Peltier, passed away at the age of 83 years. Funeral service will be held at the Omega Funeral Home in Portage la Prairie on Tuesday, February 21 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Wollbaum officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Buck was born on February 14, 1923, son of the late Frederick and Lillian Peltier in Winnipeg. During the Second World War he enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces and served in the Royal Canadian Artillery. In 1947, he married Anne Caliguerie. He was later employed with Carlings Brewery and then with Associated Beer Distributors until his retirement in 1982. His life centered around his home, family, and farm. Buck enjoyed hunting. Predeceased by his wife Anne in 1972 and son Phillip in 1991. He leaves to mourn his passing, brothers, John (Elsie) of Grosse Isle, MB, and Arnold of Winnipeg; sisters, Audrey Foster of Winnipeg, Leona Dowling of Kingston, NS, Gertie (Leo) Baron of St. Charles, MB, and Ruby Dauphanais of Winnipeg; and daughter-in-law Jan of Toronto; 26 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
