MARGARET DAVENPORT (nee GREGORY) With broken hearts and her family at her side Margaret passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. Margaret was predeceased by Bert her husband of 50 years; her parents, Herbert and Gertrude Gregory; and her brother Bert Gregory of Bullhead City, AZ. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. Margaret leaves to cherish her memories, Greg (Mary) of Vancouver, Glenn (Carlyn) of Winnipeg, and Barb Kalansky (Ken) of Edmonton. She also leaves her five grandchildren, Brett, Terra, Krystin, Erin, and Kevin; sisters-in-law, Marion Gregory, Martha Snowdon, and many special nieces and nephews. Mom was always the rock that kept Dad in line over their many years of marriage. She was the yin to his yang, and between the two of them they raised a family and made many great friendships with neighbours and friends. During the past four years after Dad's passing, she had the support of many friends and relatives. A phone call to her home was more than likely to receive a busy signal, as Mom's love of a long conversation was shared with many of her close friends. She will always be remembered for her caring nature, internal strength and courage, and her undying love of family. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Our family wishes to thank the staff of both Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 Main St. 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca.
