Arthur Bartley December 19, 1919 - February 18, 2006 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of their uncle, Arthur Bartley on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home. Arthur was predeceased by his wife Margret in October 2000, five brothers, and two sisters. Arthur is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Arthur was born and raised in the Turtle Mountain area where he farmed until 1948. Upon moving to Winnipeg, he worked mainly with the city of Winnipeg transit until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and curling in the St. Vital area, as well as his association and friendship with the St.Vital Legion. Arthur was an avid cribbage player, and spent countless hours playing with family and friends. Arthur always enjoyed a good story or joke and his friendships in the care home. A celebration of Arthur's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint), with interment and reception to follow.
