EDIE PEARLMAN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Edie Pearlman, on February 16, 2006 at age 84. She was predeceased by her husband Dutz in 1982. Edie is sadly missed by her children Marvin Pearlman (Shirley), Audrey Choslovsky (Sydney) and Bebe Richards (John) and grandchildren Jonathan, Carmen (John), Alana, David, Erica and David. She is also survived by her brother Jack Mazo (Bette), aunt Dora Mazo and sister-in-law Ruchie Mitchell (Harvey). Edie was a woman of class, generosity and beauty and possessed many talents. She was a wonderful cook and her family loved to eat her legendary chicken soup, meatballs, knishes and brisket. She was also known for her knitting, making sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves for her children and grandchildren. She played the piano beautifully and could play a song after hearing it once, never having to touch a sheet of music. She was also an accomplished gardener, world travel and had a flair for style. Most of all, Edie was devoted to her family. She enjoyed a loving marriage with her husband Dutz for 41 years. Friday night dinners at her home were a tradition for years. Friends and family regarded these dinners at the Pearlman's on Oak Street as an open invitation and felt free to drop in as they pleased. For her 65th and 70th birthdays, she generously took all of her children and grandchildren to Florida and Mexico respectively. It is very easy for her family to recall dozens of stories about Edie, most of them funny and all of them sweet. In the last few years of her life, she always wore a smile but due to her illness she was unable to be as involved as she was before. The family would like to thank Edie's caregivers at the Sharon Home for their care and compassion. We will always remember her for what she was: a sweet, beautiful and dedicated grandmother, mother and wife. We love you Edie.
