VERA EILEEN SALLEE (nee KOPIAK) 1925 - 2006 On February 23, 2006 God called our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother home to rest at the age of 80. She is back with her dear Barry after only a few short months. Mom was also predeceased by her infant daughter Audrey; mother and father Fred and Julia; brother Isadore; sister Roberta and infant grandson Patrick. Vera is mourned by her loving children, Louise (Jim), Fred (Debbie), Danny (Irene), Bruce (Chris); grandchildren, Michael, Allen (Crystel), Carina, Nicholas, Leanne; great-grandson Colin; as well as brothers, Frank (Jan) and Allan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many long time friends. Mom was born in Edmonton and moved to Winnipeg. She met and married Dad and shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. Mom loved her home and family and her delicious holupchi and perogies will be missed. She left us saying there will be no complaints, I've had a good life. I'm looking forward to holding hands with Dad once again. We will miss her forceful personality, quick wit and unique sense of humour. She continues to teach us how to live our lives. We would especially like to thank Dr. Bland and the nursing staff of Unit 5-5 at Seven Oaks General Hospital for their kind care of Mom during her last days. Prayer service will be held Monday, February 27, 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow.
