Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDR. ALEXANDER KNIGHT MILLS Dr. Alex Mills of San Antonio, TX passed away suddenly on February 18, 2006. Alex was born May 17, 1956 in Ottawa, ON. At an early age he moved to Souris, MB, where he spent a very happy childhood. He attended Souris Public Schools from Grades 1 to 12. He then entered the University of Manitoba and graduated with degrees in Medicine and Computer Science. Alex went on to postdoctoral training at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx; Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University in Boston. He practiced anesthesiology in St. Louis and New York. In the recent years Alex dedicated his time to developing new technology for monitoring the heart and blood vessel system. He has developed many patented devices, with the Flowave 1000 (Woolsthorpe Inc.) being the culmination of his works. Alex was recognized for his creative genius and his ability to apply fundamental mathematics and physics to the human condition. He will be missed by many colleagues and friends across the country. Alex had various interests, including music and history. He was especially devoted to his family, very involved with his children's education and activities. He was a compassionate person, always ready to help others. Alex is survived by his wife Dr. Donna Wall; children, Teresa Anne, Jennifer and Robert; and his mother Evelyn Mills of Winnipeg. A memorial service has been held in San Antonio. A burial service will be held at a later date in Souris. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

So shocked & saddened to hear about Alex's early demise. I remember him as a young boy & his Mom who I called "Mother Mills" was one of the best tachers I had in my lifetime. Now, I recently learned that she is gone, also. One Consolation, they are both together,again in heaven.
