STEPHANIE MUNT (nee PROKOPIUK) It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Stephanie, at St. Boniface Hospital on February 20, 2006 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Edward, in 1995 and her sister Natalie. Stephanie is survived by her children, Carole and Russell (Linda); grandchildren, Jason, Kristen and Ryan. Stephanie was born and raised in Winnipeg on January 30, 1919. She was employed for several years with Eaton's in the mail order department and eventually left to start a family. Being a mother and grandmother was very special for Stephanie and she particularly enjoyed having everyone together for family dinners. Cooking and baking were her favourite pastimes, as well as water color painting and macramé. In the latter few years of her life, Stephanie cherished her time with her close friends at Kildonan House. Sadly, she was never able to return to her precious apartment. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital. A memorial service celebrating Stephanie's life will take place on Monday, February 27, 3:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
