LENORE MURIEL FROM (nee Thorpe) 1913 - 2006 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Lenore was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Thea Thorpe; her loving husband Herman Carl From (1964); sisters, Maybelle (Bob), Gladys (Alf), Bertha, Esther (Joe), Florence (Louis and Henry); brothers, Gordon and Elwin; son-in-law Ken Ford; and granddaughter Carol Wilson. Lenore is lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters, Earl (Gwen), Sue and Art Wirth, Dorothy Junnila, Robert and Marge, Lorne, Caroll and Bob Edwards, Noreen Ford, Dawn and Marion, Joy and Terry Graham, Harman and Carol, Kendall and Vivian; 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons, many nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law. Lenore was born and raised in Spy Hill, SK on the Thorpe farm. All of her 11 children were born in Saskatchewan. After Herman passed away in 1964, Lenore moved to Winnipeg in 1966. She worked at Greta Brown Day Nursery Center until her retirement in 1986. Mom devoted her life to her family. She had a good sense of humour and really enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Calvary Place Personal Care Home and Grace Hospital for their loving care of mom. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Calvary Place Personal Care Home, 1325 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 3R6 or a charity of your choice.
