EDWARD JOSEPH FLETT July 21, 1929 - February 13, 2006 Unexpectedly in his sleep, Edward passed away on February 13, 2006 at his home in Langley, BC at the age of 76. He was born in Crane River, MB. Edward was predeceased by his father Roderick on July 27, 1975; his mother Margaret on March 11, 1987; brother George on January 7, 1996; sisters, Mary Lagimodiere on April 10, 1970 and Christina Hanson on December 20, 2005; and the mother of his children, Josephine on July 13, 1980. He is survived by his wife Josie; children, David (Fern), Larry (Frieda), Gerald (Mary-Ann), Brian (Norma), Wayne (Wendy), Gloria (Evan), Gail (Brian), 29 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and stepchildren, Adrian, Roy, Gary, Jeannette, Alan and Jody, their spouses, children and grandchildren. Also remaining is one brother Emile (Jora) of Vancouver, BC; three sisters, Malvina (Clifford) of Ashern, Alice Eva (Douglas) of Ebb and Flow and Verna (Steve) of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews in Vancouver and Manitoba. He will also be missed by many other relatives and good friends. A Roman Catholic service and viewing was held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18 at the Vancouver Indian and Metis Friendship Centre with Fr. Gerrard as officiant. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home and interment in Langley Lawn Cemetery, BC. Active pallbearers were his sons. The Flett family would like to express their gratitude and special thanks to family and friends for their support, prayers and flowers.
