Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY LAIRD MURPHY On Friday, February 24, 2006, Roy Laird Murphy, beloved husband of Margaret, passed away at the Grace Hospital. Remaining to forever cherish in Roy's memory are his wife Margaret; son David (Shannon) of Edmonton; son Ron of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan and Leah; brother Ken (Weida) of Canmore and sister Mae Bodley of Winnipeg. Roy was born in Winnipeg and attended Wellington, General Wolfe and Daniel McIntyre schools. He worked for Manitoba Hydro for 33 years, retiring in December 1990. Roy was an avid music lover. He played the piano and the bagpipes. Roy was with the Cameron Highlander Pipe Band for many years and the A.N.A.F. Unit 283 pipe band. At Roy's request, there will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Roy's memory to a charity of one's choice.
