JOHN JACK BIALLY It is with profound sadness that we announce that on February 24, 2006, John Bially, aged 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather died suddenly at his residence in Tolstoi, MB. Jack is survived by his devoted wife Helen, and their son Edward, daughter-in-law Donna, as well as three grandchildren, Adam, Katie and Scott. Jack is also survived by sister Olga, sisters-in-law, Eva Bially, Elsie Dolynchuk, Elda Dolynchuk, Sonia Dolynchuk, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jack was born on June 22, 1918 and grew up in Overstoneville area; attending Zelota school / General Welding course school of Instruction, Electric Acetylene Welding; a businessman and community minded. Jack never truly retired, spent a busy life as his health permitted to the very end. Jack and Helen were married in the Tolstoi Sacred Heart of Jesus on July 25, 1953. They lived in Tolstoi all their lives. Jack was active in the community, and served as a school trustee on the local school board, vice president of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Community Centre and Tolstoi Seniors, being instrumental in its beginning as first president. Jack's true pleasure was his family and friends. Visitation and prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will take on Tuesday, February 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Ukrainian Catholic Church in Tolstoi. Interment to follow at Overstoveville Independent Cemetery.
