BERYL MARY ASH February 24, 2006 Peacefully, on Friday, February 24, 2006, at the Riverview Health Centre, with her family at her side, Beryl Mary Ash passed away at the age of 77. She was predeceased by her beloved husband James Kenneth Ash, in 1982. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Neil, his wife Peggy, two grandchildren, Stefanie and Christopher and her great-granddaughter Jordyn. Beryl also leaves her brother Glynn and wife Maureen; sister Gwen and many nieces, nephews and other relatives in England as well as many friends here and abroad. Beryl was born September 20, 1928, in Eccles, Manchester, England. She immigrated to Canada in the early 1950s where she worked for the University of Manitoba. She was employed at Western Paint for over 25 years prior to her retirement. As a young girl in England she volunteered with various organizations. Most recently her volunteer work included the Thelma-Wynne Project, helping feed the poor and needy at All Saints Anglican Church. She was also involved with the Dragon Ladies of St. Georges Anglican Church. Her selfless giving of her time was certainly appreciated by the many organizations she helped. Beryl loved golf, enjoyed luncheons with the Crescentwood Moms and the companionship of her many friends. She also loved to travel. Above all, her first love was for her family. Thank you to the nurses and doctors of 3 East at the Riverview Health Centre for the exceptional care during her brief stay. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at St. Georges Anglican Church (Crescentwood), Grosvenor Avenue and Wilton Street. Presiding over the services is The Venerable Donna Ball, Parish Priest. The service will terminate at the church. Flowers are respectfully declined. In lieu, donations in Beryl's memory may be made to the Thelma-Wynne Project, in care of St. Georges Anglican Church (Crescentwood), 168 Wilton St., or the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation.
