MARIA HIEBERT Maria Hiebert, aged 81, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. Anchoring Maria's outgoing personality was her strong faith in Christ. This faith she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Maria loved people, especially children and called everyone my friend . Maria was predeceased by her husband Gerhard, two sisters, one brother and one brother-in-law. She is mourned by her three children, Hilda (David), Annie (Gregg) and Walter, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, one sister, two brothers, three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law and their families. The family wishes to convey deep appreciation to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital 6A South (Family Medicine) and 8A (Palliative Care). A celebration of her life will be held at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street on Tuesday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m., with viewing before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9 or Palliative Care St. Boniface Hospital 8A, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6.
