ANDREY CAPLAP December 10, 1920 - February 24, 2006 PEACEFULLY Andrey was a good, hardworking man. His simple focus from a young age was to create a better life for his family. From Western Ukraine, his strong faith carried him through the hardships of war; nursing his future wife to health in post-war Eurpope; immigrating to Winnipeg's north end with the proverbial $7.00 in his pocket - wife Maria and baby son John in tow; and labouring to make good . Children Gerry and Helen followed over the years. He always kept in touch with his family roots and provided for them as well. He lived on to enjoy the fruits of his labour through a 20 year retirement. Andrey has reunited with John (1996), Helen (2004) and loving wife Maria (2005). He is sadly missed by son Gerry (Nancy) and granddaughter Heather. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28 at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 160 Euclid Ave. with Fr. L. Ratushniak, C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations can be made to St. Andrews as he was a founding member and a life time supporter. Dobraneech, Dido
