RUDOLPH PETER PATKAU Rudolph Patkau passed away peacefully at the Pembina Place Mennonite Personal Care Home, on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his companion Donna McLaren; sister Mary (Andy) Zimmerman of Westbank, BC; brother Victor (Lenore) of Calgary, AB; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Maria Patkau; two sisters Helen Strike and Elsie Rempel; two brothers Jacob and Peter. He attended the Manitoba School for the Deaf, residential school and was an active member of the Deaf Community his entire life. Rudolph was employed with Monarch Machinery until his retirement in 1984. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Deaf Centre, 285 Pembina Hwy. in the Affleck Room with Chaplin Rosalie Loeppky officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rudolph may be made to the Deaf Centre, 285 Pembina Hwy., R3L 2E1.
