MAUREEN PATRICIA (PAT) MCCALL (nee MCCALL) On Feb. 10, 2006 at the Kildonan Personal Care Home. Pat was born in Regina, SK., on March 31, 1916, the eldest daughter of Alice (Sullivan) and Eugene Dominic McCall. She came to Winnipeg with her parents at age five. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Warren Edward Wesley McCall, in 1980, and her brother, Eugene Peter McCall, of Edmonton, Alta.,in 1981, her sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen George M. Pope, of Union City, California, and step-son Lawrence. She is survived by her sisters, Sister Maureen Patricia (Mary Alice McCall ) , of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, Oakland, California, her nephew, Patrick McCall (Cherrill), their children, Michael and Kimberley, all of Edmonton,; her niece, Kathleen Burton (Lloyd), their daughters, Diane Peleskey (Gerry), Barbara and Denise Burton, of Lethbridge, Alta, She is also survived by her dear friend, Kathleen Hannon, of Edmonton; her Sister-in-law, Bernice McCall, of White Rock, B.C., many cousins, friends and neighbors. Pat is also survived by her husband's sons, Lawrence (Rita), their son Warren Edward, of Oakville, ON, Neale (Margaret), their daughters Karen McCall, (her husband Rick Brown), of Churchill, and Janice McCall-Failes (Rev.Walter B.), of Covington, Virginia. Although Pat had no children of her own, through her family she is also survived by a great-great grandson, Britt Failes, a great-great-niece Alexis Jade of Lethbridge, a great-great-nephew, Matthew and a great-great-niece, Megan Alice Peleskey, of Tabor, Alta. She was thrilled by these honorary titles! For many years Pat was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Ignatius Roman Catholic parishes and since 1968, has been a member of St. John Brebeuf and was an active member of the Catholic Women's League of that parish. For several years she was a member of the Business and Professional Group of the C.W.L. in charge of arranging visits to the St. Amant Ward in St. Vital. She was also a volunteer with the Children's Hospital and the Canadian Blood Donor groups for many years. She received her education at St. Mary's Academy, Winnipeg and was made an Honorary Life Mamber of their Alumnae. Pat was employed by the Winnipeg Electric Company (Winnipeg Transit) in the Credit Dept. from 1936 to 1941, at which time she became associated with, the Canadian National Railways. She worked for a short time in the Accounting and Purchasing Departments, before entering the Regional Passenger Sales Department, where she was private secretary to three Passenger Sales Managers, until her marriage to Warren Edward McCall in 1968. A Memoria1 Mass will be celebrated at St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place, on Thursday March 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Ward Jamieson the celebrant. Following a reception, interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery. At Pat's request, cremation has already taken place. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway - 783-7211
