MARGARET MARION GREEN Peacefully, with her daughter Diane by her side, Margaret passed away on February 25, 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital. Margaret was born, lived most of her life and married in St. Vital. She received her education at Glenwood School and Glenlawn Collegiate. She began her career working as manageress of Dale's and The Varsity dresshops, where she put to use her creative talents. She then spent most of her working years, until age 75, as medical assistant, first to Dr. Roy Stewart, then Dr. Cyril Stevens and finally the Neurosurgical Associates, Drs. Hill, Fewer and West. Margaret was very active in the Sons of Scotland and played a major role on various committees, including serving as chief of the Dame Ishbel Aberdeen Camp No. 200. She also served as past chief for the organization. Margaret enjoyed working. Her hobbies included reading, dancing, knitting, crocheting and entertaining. Along with her mother, she created memorable dinners for special occasions. She derived special joy and satisfaction from working, not only in her home, but in her garden. Margaret loved the sun, and would relax in it for hours while she watched Diane swim. Those memories will be forever cherished. Margaret had a very special bond with her only child, Diane. Together they shared many life experiences. She very much loved her brother Tom. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Ronald (Roy) in 1982; and her parents, Charles (1979) and Marion Wragg (1994). She is survived by her very loving daughter Diane, of Winnipeg; her brother Tom (Norma) Wragg of Victoria BC; and her puppies, Jamey, Sheby and Tammy, who in the last four years were a very important part of her daily life. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
