IRENE VELMA DUPUIS (nee VOSS) Peacefully, on Friday, February 24, 2006, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, with her family at her side, Irene Dupuis, dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 86. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Carol (Marshall); grandsons, Michael (Kathy), Darren (Jodi), Brad (Catharine); her precious great-grandchildren, Delaney, Layne, Destyni, Sydnee and Logan. Also Kirsti and Randy. She was predeceased by her husband Norris; her parents, Fred and Eda Voss; brother Alf; and sister Dorothy. Irene was born in Morris, MB and raised in Winnipeg. She worked at Federated Co-op retiring in 1984. Mom was a gentle caring and loving person who had a special love for her Grandson's and her great-grandchildren. The example she set for them will always be in their lives. She was a very thoughtful person, never one to complain and always supportive to her family and friends. Mom's creativeness made her excel in her hobbies. Her cooking and baking will forever be remembered especially her perogies and cinnamon buns and those special Christmas morning breakfasts. Mom was proud to be a part of the social club activities in her apartment block. She looked forward to her Saturday night card games and glass of wine with the ladies. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital 5th floor nursing Units for all their caring and compassion over the past six weeks. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 3, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
