IRENE MARGARET WRIGHT Peacefully at home, on February 27, 2006, with the dignity of a gracious lady that she was, Irene Wright, aged 80 years, beloved wife of Lionel Wright passed away with the love of her life, her family, at her side. Left to mourn her passing are her loving husband of 59 years, Lionel; daughters, Darlynn Wright and Robyn (Jack) Forbes of Rathwell; six grandchildren, Ashley, Shannon, Scott, Ross, Chantal and Breann. She was predeceased by her parents; and three sons, Tyler, aged 16 months, Blayne, aged 10 years and Grant, aged 20 years. She was born in Winnipeg on November 16, 1925 and attended Fort Rouge and Earl Grey schools. Her family were most important to her as they enjoyed their cottage at Ponemah Beach for almost 50 years. Needle work also played an important part of Irene's life. Irene was the epitome of the Golden Rule and was the type of person to always put others first before herself. Special thanks is extended to the home care workers who enabled Irene to remain at home to the end. Following a private interment, a celebration of Irene's life will be held on Friday, March 3, at 2:30 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Vic Esperanza officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene's memory to the Salvation Army, 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
