FRANCIS LAVALLEE (DOCKY) August 20, 1940 - February 26, 2006 On Sunday, February 26, 2006 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side, Francis Docky Lavallee of Grand Rapids, M`B passed away at the age of 65 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 41 years, Yvonne; his sons, Roger (Trish), Ron (Aggie) and Tyler (Jessica); his daughters, Leanne (Ralph), Laureen and Tracey (Gordon); his brother Roland; 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and adopted grandson Zachary. He was predeceased by his mother Eleanor (1993); his mother-in-law Sheila (1994); his father-in-law Bill (1995); nieces, Cassandra (2001) and Amanda (2003); sister-in-law Marge (2005); cousins, Hubert and Audrey, Esau and Norman Sinclair. Francis was born in Grand Rapids and lived there all his life. He made living as a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed curling and watching hockey, but especially the company of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Hall, Grand Rapids. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. James Anglican Church, Grand Rapids. Rev. Douglas Highway will be officiating. Interment will follow at the St. James Anglican Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the people who showed their support during our dad's illness and would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at GH6 at the Health Sciences Centre.
