In 1941 he married Kathleen Yanchycki and they farmed near Oakburn for over 50 years. Michael was actively involved in community affairs. He served on various committees and boards including the Manitoba Crop Insurance, Strathclair Co-op, Manitoba Farmer's Union and as president of St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Dear Dad: You worked so hard And saved so long, for what we have today. To ensure we had things you did without, You sacrificed your chance to rest and play. You sought no honours and reward, Except to raise your family. Your contribution we can not evaluate, You gave so much, so unselfishly. Remembrances and condolences may be emailed to raesfs@mts.net. Rae's Funeral Service of Shoal Lake is in care of arrangements. (204) 759-2160

  • Hello, Im the Grand Daughter of Rose Tokaryk , Your Dad would be my Great Uncle. I'm truly sad to know I had a Great Uncle ..brother to my Grandmother and never got to meet him. I always wanted to know about my Grandma's side of the family. My Grandma passed before I was born..she would have been Auntie to many of you. Only now I'm finding out who and were they are. There must have been a big age difference between Uncle Micheal and Grandma Rose.I know there was 11 children ...I believe. He sounds like a wonderful hard working man. I truly wish I could have meet him and many of you.b Bless him and all of you. Sincerly Laura Pruski (Tokaryk) - Posted by: Laura Pruski (Rose Tokaryk's Grand Daughter) on: May 14, 2018
