ALLENE DEPREZ (MASSON) Peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Lions Manor Personal Care Centre with her family at her side Allene Deprez, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother passed away at the age of 96. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Joan; grandchildren, Debbie (Jon) Ottenson, Wendy (Richard) Wright, Robert (Candace) Ringland, Todd (Guylaine) Ringland, Sherry (Murray) Stubler; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Cody, Nicole, Danielle, Ashley, Alecia and Aidan. Sisters-in-law, Germaine and Angele Deprez, Betty Pelletier, Betty Masson and Elsie Marion and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George; sister Bernice; and brothers, Roland and Alan Masson. Allene was born November 21, 1909 in McTaggert, SK. She later moved to Winnipeg in 1925 where she married her husband George. They lived and farmed in Stony Mountain. She was very active in the Catholic Women's League at St. Joseph's Parish and at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Winnipeg where she enjoyed playing bridge and bingo. Allene loved spending time with her family and loved to travel to California. There she joined the Catholic Daughters of America. Her unrelenting faith in God carried her through her peaceful passing. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Lion's Manor. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 3 at 8:00 p.m. in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave. with Fr. Mark Tarrant presiding. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Stony Mountain with Fr. Gerald Langevin presiding. Interment will follow at Stony Mountain Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD.
