MILDRED JANSSEN December 19, 1931 - March 4, 2006 Peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side, Mildred Grace Janssen age 74, went home to be with her Lord. Millie was predeceased by her parents John and Bertha Thompson, two sisters, Alice and Laura and great granddaughter, Sumer. Millie is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Garry Janssen, sons William (Diana) Gamble of Winnipeg, and Wayne Molodowich of Edmonton, AB. Three daughters Lynda (Maurice) Chartrand of Thompson, Lana (Tom) Strong of Ste. Agathe, and Lorraine Haak of Winnipeg. Two sisters, Dorothy Ballou of Langsing, Michigan, and Verna Pamp of Longwood, Florida. Millie also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. J.B. Sharkey and staff for the excellent care and compassion. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday March 7 at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint) with interment and reception to follow. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Millie's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association 629 McDermot Avenue, Wpg., MB R3A 1P6, or a charity of one's choice.
