CLARENCE ALEXANDER TROTT 1914 - 2006 Clarence Alexander Trott, passed away March 2, 2006 with his family at his side. Clarence was born May 9, 1914 on the family homestead near Moline, MB to Joseph and Mary (nee Prout), the youngest of four siblings. Clare attended Moline school until the passing of his parents in 1924 and was raised by his sister, Bill and Bella Hazelwood. He worked on their farm for several years and loved working with animals, his pride being his Clydesdales horses. Clare worked at Ashdowns in Winnipeg for a few years before volunteering for service in the Canadian Navy, during the Second World War from April 21, 1942 until October 25, 1945. Upon return to Winnipeg, he worked at White's Hardware store until 1950, when Clare moved to Moose Jaw, SK where he managed the Macleod's Hardware Store until 1970. He then worked as a salesman for two car dealerships until retiring in 1984. Clare was noted as a kind and generous man. Clare met Bertha Fidler in Winnipeg and they were married on November 14, 1946. Clare was active in the Masons and a member of the Moose Jaw Legion, Branch No. 39. Clare was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lavina (nee Prout), brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Florence (nee Kenyon), sisters and brothers-in-law, Bella and Bill Hazelwood, and Vi and Bill White. He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Bertha (nee Fidler), four sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth of Calgary, Keith of Calgary, Bradley and Shirley of Edmonton, and Bruce and Karen of Tampa.
