Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE FERNAND AIME After a lengthy illness, George was peacefully released from this world on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. The youngest of four children, George was born on April 3, 1945 in Redvers, SK. He grew up on the family farm and was educated in Redvers and Bellegarde, SK. He later moved to Winnipeg and proceeded to raise a family. George worked for many years in the furniture business as a shipper-receiver, later working in Concordia Hospital as a dietary aide, then on to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA); but his heart never left the farm. George had a great passion for playing snooker or just socializing with friends in the Legion Clubrooms. Other interests included playing darts and watching all sports on TV. Predeceased by his parents, Alfonse and Irma Aime, he has left to mourn his passing wife Sharon; son Thomas (Linda); brothers, Albert (Ann), Paul (Brenda); grandchildren, nieces and nephews and numerous friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Drobot, MICU Staff, doctors and nurses and all support staff of E5 Ward, St. Boniface Hospital. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Cremation has taken place with private interment at a later date. In lieu of lowers, donations may be made to your choice of Diabetes or Heart and Lung Societies of Manitoba.
