SOPHIE WYSMULEK Peacefully on March 3, 2006, Sophie passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 78 years. Sophie is survived by her children, Cecilia (Walter), Ed, Richard (Victoria), Henry, Janina (ONeal) and Irene (Ron); grandchildren, Christine (Rocco), Teresa (Jason), Nicole, Vanessa and Nikolas; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Brendan, Evan, Tyler and Brayden; sister-in-law Sophie and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Poland. She was predeceased by her loving husband Jan; brother Leon; and her parents Jozefa and Jan. Sophie was born on December 17, 1927 in Nowogrod, Poland and came to Canada in 1961 with her family. Sophie loved gardening, cooking and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and a long member of Holy Ghost Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Wieczny Odpoczynek Racz Jej Dac, Panie.
