ROLAND JEAN BERTRAND Peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2006, Roland Bertrand passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 86 years. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Roseline; son Rene and wife Barbara; daughter-in-law Diane; four grandchildren, Michael and Cheryl Bertrand of Toronto, Robert and Joseph Bertrand of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn are brother Louis and wife Faye, numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Roland was predeceased by his son, Philip, in 1999. Roland spent most of his working career in the hardware business and was the former owner of Norwood Hardware. After retirement, he and Roseline enjoyed many winters in Mesa, AZ., where they kept busy golfing, playing pool and cards. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Precious Blood Catholic Church, 200 Kenny St., with Fr. Janeau officiating.
