ELSIE ARNOLD On Monday, February 27, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., Elsie passed away peacefully at Lions Personal Care Centre, with her son Brian at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1996, and is survived by son Brian (Janet), Wayne (Peggy); granddaughters, Shannon and Jamie; as well as two great grandchildren, Hailey and Braylon whom she never got to know due to the effects of Alzheimer's. Elsie was born in 1921 on a small farm in Rosser, MB. Life was hard in those days, and it really wasn't until she became a mother that she found her true calling. She was a classic mother, caring for the needs of her family, with a natural instinct and love. She sacrificed everything for her family and will not be forgotten for those sacrifices. Mom loved to cook and her Sunday dinners were always an event. She made everything from scratch and spent the whole day preparing for the family gathering. After retirement from Eaton's, Elsie finally took time to enjoy herself. Many trips to Las Vegas as well as many weekends looking after her grandchildren became her reward.
