Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIVIAN RYAN (nee YAWORSKI) With family at her side, Vivian Ryan, aged 64, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2006. Vivian was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1973. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mike (Donna), Tim and Kathy (Robert) as well as six grandchildren; Rianne (Ken), Amanda, Dion, Ashley, Jessica and Courtney. Also survived by her siblings, Rosealind (Rodney), Ron (Lucille), Gerald (Nadia) and Al (Madeleine); brother-in-law Harold and numerous other family members and friends. Born in 1941, Vivian grew up in Sturgis, SK and at the age of 20 she moved to Winnipeg, where she married Jim on December 26, 1961. This is where they set up residence and raised their family. Vivian worked for Winnipeg School Division #1, at Dufferin School as a Food Coordinator. She was very involved with the community through her children's many sporting activities and volunteering of her time. She was recognized in 1974 by the City of Winnipeg with a Community Service Award. She moved in to the Bill Arnott Housing Co-op in 1995, continuing with her community involvement, serving many terms as Co-op president, board member and Handi-Transit advisory committee member. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the M.S. Grandma, I know it's been a long time. Going on 9 years. I don't know where else to write this. I miss you. There's not. Day where I don't think about you and it kills me inside. I get told I look like you. It's amazing to hear. But somedays I wish I didn't becubecause it makes me miss you more. I know your in a better place but it's still taking time to get used to.
