ASTA JENSEN January 10, 1922 March 2, 2006 Peacefully, with her family by her side, Asta, aged 84, passed away on March 2, 2006. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Hans (Michele) and Knud (Leslie); her grandchildren, Derrek (Nitsa), Pamela, Jared, Sean, Quentin and Oliver (Darlene). She will also be missed by Margaret Jensen, Rita Ward, Patsy Jensen and her family in Denmark. Asta is predeceased by her husband Peter; eldest son Bent and her parents Jens and Anna Poulsen. Asta, along with her husband and three sons emigrated from Denmark in 1957. They made Winnipeg their home where they happily raised their children. She worked at Eaton's and as an assistant at various hair salons and also enjoyed the simple things in life such as taking care of her plants and flowers, reading a good book and enjoying a good cup of coffee. Asta cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Asta was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by those that love her. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home.
