Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST GENOSKO Ernest Karl Genosko passed away peacefully with his wife and son by his side in Winnipeg on March 2, 2006. Son of Rosa and Josef Genosko; husband of Marlene Ruth (nee Justice); father of Gary and William; grandfather of Liam, Elijah, Hannah, Ivy and Iloe; brother of Josef (Richmond Hill, Ontario) and Erna (Rosenheim, Germany). Ernest was born on October 2, 1932 in Munich, Germany and moved to Canada in 1953. He married Marlene on July 9, 1955 and this past summer they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. After their marriage, Ernest and Marlene built their own house on Clark Avenue in Thornhill, Ontario where they lived until 2003 when they moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family. Ernest's most recent job before retiring was at Shouldice Hospital. Ernest loved to keep busy with odd jobs and chores. He was always available to help anyone who asked for a hand (or even if they didn't ask). Ernest wore many hats; he gardened, painted, and loved repairing TVs and radios in his basement workshop. He also enjoyed playing darts with his friend Larry. Ernest was proud of his family and most of all loved his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Lung Association of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Friends and family can pay respects at 773 Centennial Street, Winnipeg on Sunday March 5th between 2 and 4 pm. In honour of his memory a tree will be cut down, chopped up, and piled meticulously at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 1531 Pembina Hwy 284-7500
