ROMEO JOSEPH DION It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother Romeo Dion on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 96 years. Romeo was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years Florence in 2002; daughter Denise in 1993; brothers, Leo, Ed and Raymond, son-in-law Peter Bidinost in 2005. Romeo will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lorraine Bidinost, Suzanne (Charles) Gauthier; son Robert (Terry) Dion. He will also be survived by his sisters, Rose (Herb) Vandersteen, Jean (Al) Findlay; brothers, Eugene (Eva) Dion, Bill (Lucille) Dion; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Phillip Erhard, nurses and staff of 6-A at the St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the management and staff at Residence Despins for the care and loving support. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Eugene Church, 1007 St. Mary's Rd., with a viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Romeo to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
