Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPHINE ZEOLKOWSKI (BABA) April 25, 1917 - February 27, 2006 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our dear Mother and Baba. Suddenly, on Monday, February 27, 2006, Josephine Zeolkowski of Winnipeg, passed away at her residence, Middle Church Nursing Home. Remaining to cherish her memory are her two sons, Gary Zeolkowski and Thomas Bishop (Lynn), four grandchildren, Jody, Steven, Jeff and Janice, and three great-grandchildren, Justin, Steven and Stephanie. She is also survived by her brother Edward Kovich of British Columbia and sister Anne Romaniuk of Middle Church as well as numerous relatives and friends. Josephine was predeceased by her mother Alice, father Leon, husband Joseph, brothers, Steve, Mike, John and Bill; sisters, Katie and Helen. Cremation has taken place. Josephine has requested no funeral service. A private gathering will be held to celebrate her life by her son Gary at a later date to accommodate family and friends from out of town. Her greatest passion while still well, was cooking for her family, working in her yard, caring for her many plants, loving her sons and grandchildren. Josephine thrived on the many friends and acquaintances she made over the years and loved reminiscing. Her quick wit always brought laughter to the room. Baba was loyal, she had a great sense of humour. Family always came first and herself last. In lieu of flowers, the family wish to express donations to a charity of your choice.

On the 27th. of this month, it will be 12 years since you left us, but it seems like yesterday. You are the one person who has affected Steven and my life, I would say the most. I have been trying hard to keep the promise I made to you......there have been moments. Steven has a little girl now.."Sophie".. , a beautiful little girl, we are very proud of her and Steven is the best Dad, he loves her so much that it brings tears to my eyes.
