Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY VOTH 1918 2006 Peacefully, on Monday, February 27, 2006 at the age of 87, Mary Voth of Golden West Centennial Lodge, formerly of Meadows, MB, passed away at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Jacob J. and Maria Voth; five brothers, Jacob, Peter, Abram, Gerhard, John; two sisters, Tina and Lena; one sister-in-law Margaret (Peter) Voth. She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Frank (Kay), Henry (Lydia); one sister Anne (Nick) Friesen; four widowed sisters-in-law Mary (Jacob), Mary (Abram), Elizabeth (Gerhard), Louise (John); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and many other members of her extended family. Mary was born on June 14, 1918 in Friedensdorf, southern Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in June 1925 with her parents and siblings. The family eventually settled in the Meadows area where Mary lived with her parents until 1965. In 1965 she and her mother moved to Winnipeg and lived on Dominion Street until 1987 at which time she relocated to the Arms of the Cross on Burnell Street. In 2002, due to ill health, she relocated to Golden West Centennial Lodge. Viewing on Sunday, March 5 from 3:00 4:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at Schoenfelder Mennonite Church, 2556 PTH 26, Pigeon Lake, on Monday March 6 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Manitoba Lung Association.
