WILLIAM BILLY CHAPMAN On Thursday, March 2, 2006, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Billy passed away at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 66 years. Remaining to cherish his memory are his sister Marilynn (Shorty); brother Robert; close friends, Debbie and Ron; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Billy was a long-time truck driver and in latter years a handyman. He was also a member of the St. James Legion Branch No. 4 for 33 years. Billy enjoyed going fishing and having a few beers with the boys at the Legion as well as the Stagger Inn. In keeping with Billy's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the wonderful care provided to Billy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
