FLORENCE MCTAVISH (Nee DESJARLAIS) June 22, 1951 - March 1, 2006 Peacefully, with her family and friends by her side, Florence passed away on March 1, 2006 at the Health Sciences Centre. She was predeceased by parents, Jean-Baptist and Marie Desjarlais; step-father Pierre Desjarlais; brothers, Albert, George, and Maurice. Florence will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 37 years Percy; children, Robert (Gail), Gloria (Brian) Bagdonas, Valerie, Ron (Carrie); grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph, Mindy, Ashley, Kyle, and Shelby; sisters, Yvonne (Gilbert) Gautron and Philomen Koltusky. Florence will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends. Florence was born in Ontario and grew up in St. Rita, MB. Florence and Percy raised their family in Gillam, and recently moved to Morden to be closer to her grandchildren. In Gillam, she worked at the Hospital, the Co-op, and managed Fox Lake True Value. Florence enjoyed reading and playing bingo. She was a devoted wife and mother. Florence was very supportive; she always put her family first, and will be sadly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Boundry Trails and the Health Sciences Center SICU for their care. A special thanks to Linda (SICU) and Arlene for their compassion and friendship. A viewing will be held on Monday, March 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with an interment and reception to follow. Pallbearers will be Gerald McTavish, Danny Stolwyk, David Stolwyk, Patrick Stolwyk, Jayson Crozier, Willie McTavish, Shayne Adriaenssens and honorary pallbearer Richie Kutzner. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca Remembrances may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 in Florence's memory.   • Not a better friend ever to be found, a truer heart or a bigger smile. With honesty as her best policy, she was the noblest, funniest, sweetest person one could ever, be bestowed as a friend. I am going to truly miss our get togethers, our soul searching, husband bashing, humorous times we had together.
