GWENDOLINE JOAN ANNETTE FEUILLATRE (Nee COLLISON) July 28, 1925 - March 1, 2006 Peacefully on March 1, 2006, our dear mom passed away at the age of 80, at the Poseidon Care Centre. She was predeceased by our dad Lucien in 2001; her parents, Norman and Dorothy Collison; her twin sister Joyce; and brother Alex. My mom will be sadly missed by her seven children, Keith of ON, Dave (Sylvia), Jeanne of AB, Diane, Phil of BC, Bruce and Grant (Laurie); and her sister Sylvia (Alec) of England; as well as 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. During the Second World War, our mom met and fell in love with our dad Lucien. They married in England and she made her trip to Canada as a war bride. It was very hard for her at times due to missing her family in England but she raised seven children through good times and bad. Gwendoline was a wonderful, caring and loving mother and friend. Mom was a great cook, she had a love for drawing, knitting, crosswords, but her true passion was her flower garden and her yard work. Mom also enjoyed writing letters to pen pals. One lady in particular was Judy from Georgia, USA, who was so wonderful to our mom; we would like to thank her for being a true friend. We want to thank Garry and Dorothy Armitage and family for helping out at times when mom needed help, the caregivers of Poseidon Care Centre for the care and compassion that they showed mom for the past five years. A memorial service to celebrate Gwendoline's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 9, at the Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
