Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryREGINALD FREDERICK YELLS August 9, 1910 - March 4, 2006 Passed away on March 4, 2006, at Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville, ON, at the age of 95. Born in England, he came to Canada at an early age and attended schools in Winnipeg. He was employed with the Winnipeg Hydro for 41 years, retiring to Victoria in 1969. He loved sports, loved the competition and the fellowship. He was a life member of Ardmore Golf course and a long time member of the Victoria Curling Club. He had a great sense of humour, and loved music and dancing. A very caring man, he was able to help many people along the way. In his later years, his sense of humour remained to the end, much to the delight of those who cared for him. His beloved wife Irene predeceased him in 1980; as did his brother Art in 1985; and son Arthur Williams in 1992; sister and brother-in-law Ruby (Ernie) Robold; sister-in-law Irene Yells (Art); and his old and very dear friend Bill Cook of Hudson, QC. He is survived by his son Edward and daughter-in-law Margaret of Brockville; grandchildren, Deanna of White Rock, BC, and Bryan (Kathleen); and great-grandchildren, Jakob, and Riley of Belleville, ON; sister Eileen and brother-in-law Dean Atkinson in Victoria, BC; sister-in-law Jean Atherton, Sidney, BC; and several nieces and nephews. A ceremony in celebration of Reg's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, ON. (613-342-2828). In remembrance, memorial donations to Sherwood Park Manor or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
