Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHECTOR (HANK) PERRON Peacefully, on Saturday, March 4, 2006, Dad passed away at Tache Centre. Dad was born on August 29, 1915 at St. Joseph, MB. He was predeceased by Mom, his best partner Eva on August 4, 1993; son Robert on March 1, 1996; and brothers and sisters, Romeo, Albert, Sister Ida Maria, and Corrine. Left to cherish his memory are daughter Judy; son Jerry (Vonnie) and family; sister Elodie Chartier; and sisters-in-law Yvette (Ray) Hay, Simonne Labaty; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend Skipper . Dad took great pride in the fact that he and Mom built our home on Hull during the Flood in 1950 and it remained the family home until 2004. Construction was Dad's livelihood, owning Surety Construction Co. Ltd. from 1959 to his retirement in 1985. There are many commercial buildings throughout Manitoba that are a testament to his commitment to a business built on honesty and integrity. We hold many happy memories of visiting job sites with Dad driving and singing french songs please with his toe tapping on the accelerator! Dad was a firm believer that you gave back to the community you lived in. He actively volunteered and was an active member of numerous organizations such as the Rotary Club of St. Boniface-St. Vital (Past-President), the St. Vital Chamber of Commerce (Past-President), a charter member of the Christ the King Lennox Social Club; and numerous other organizations in the community and construction industry. Dad was especially proud of his involvement as Scout Master, from 1957 to 1964, of the 1st Winnipeg Scout Troop which consisted of 32 special needs children from all parts of Winnipeg. Dad was recognized for his involvement in the community when the St. Vital Jaycees hosted a Hank Perron Appreciation Nite on March 9, 1973 for his untiring efforts on behalf of the community. At the same time, he was presented with a Community Service Award from the City of Winnipeg. Above all, Dad's greatest commitment was to family, ensuring we knew we were loved and cherished. He will be missed. Our sincerest appreciation to the staff of 2ABC and 5ABC at Tache for their excellent care over the last two years. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 9 at Christ the King Church, 852 St. Mary's Road with Fr. Fred Olds officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba, 1060 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 0C9 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
