Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE YURKIW On March 3, 2006, at her residence, Anne, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 87 years. Anne is survived by her daughter Alice and husband Reg of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Ann-Marie and Joseph William. She is also survived by sisters, Mary Evans of Minneapolis, MN, Kay Babinchuk of Hyas, SK and Elizabeth Malyk of Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Bill Koleba and by her second husband Bill Yurkiw; also by sisters, Susie Drebniski and Nellie Horosko. Anne was born in Calder, SK on November 3, 1918 and grew up on a farm. At a young age she went to Winnipeg and worked in the city. She met and married Bill Koleba, her first husband and after a number of years moved back to Calder area, where they farmed. Soon after their only daughter Alice was born. Predeceased by her first husband, she then moved back to Winnipeg and made Winnipeg her home. In 1966 she married Bill Yurkiw and they lived in the city for the rest of their lives. Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed being around family. She was a devoted parishioner who lived a simple life which revolved around the church. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave. with Rev. Fr. Mikhail Kouts presiding. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to a charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
