MYRTLE GLADYS VALEN (nee KNAPP) August 8, 1933 - March 5, 2006 Myrtle passed away after a relatively, short illness at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital at the age of 72 years surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband Pete of almost 52 years and her children, Gordon (Edna), Murray (Norma), Doug (Marie), Brian (Yvonne) and Gloria (Barry); daughter-in-law Donna. And her grandchildren, Lisa, Tammy, Mireille, Nicole, Tyler, Tiana, Kevin, Erin, Peter, Wayne and Colin and her great-grandchildren Anthony and Michael. She also is survived by her sister Joyce Phaneuf (Louis) and brothers, Alan (Jan), Milton (Emily) and numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws from here and abroad. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She loved gardening when she was able to and in later years took up ceramics and made it more than a hobby, it became a home business, until she was no longer able to do it. She enjoyed meeting people and made numerous friends throughout the years...lifelong friends. We would like to thank the nurses and the doctors at the Teulon Hospital for their care, dedication and understanding. Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
