EDNA BURKITT 1922 2006 On Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, Edna Burkitt aged 83 years of Morden, MB went to her eternal rest. Beloved wife of Russell Burkitt. Edna and Russell were married April 28, 1945. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Dianne Burkitt of Calgary, AB and her children, Lisa and husband Bernie Wilson, Jason Dreger and wife Nancy Cheung. Daughter Heather and husband Dennis Titchkosky of Winnipeg and their children, Evan and wife Cheryl, Colin and wife Lianne. One son Barry and wife Barbara Burkitt of Grandview, MB and their children, Cindy Burkitt and Shari and husband Vern Thiessen and Brian's sons, Corey and Garett Burkitt. Larry Brown and wife Judy. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Derek and Kaitlan Thiessen and Isaac and Jade Wilson. One sister Irene Alsop and one brother Clarence and wife Iris Lechner. Edna was predeceased by her son Brian Burkitt in 1986, three brothers, Leo, Albert and Jack Lechner and one sister in infancy. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, Morden with Karen Tjaden officiating. Interment followed at the Chapel Cemetery, Morden.
