MICHELENE (MIN) EWACH (nee KWIECIEN) Peacefully, on Friday, March 10, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Michelene Ewach passed away at the age of 88 years. Min will be sadly missed by her grandson Todd (Susie); granddaughter Andrea (Bruce) Bedard; great-grandchildren Harmony, Brenden and Destiny Ewach, and Chantal, Desiree and Drake Bedard; sisters Julia Kalian, Eve Thompson and Pam Iwankow; sister-in-law Gladys Kwiecien, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Sophia and Daniel Kwiecien, son Daniel Ewach, and siblings Frances Kwiecien, Virginia Martin, Bernice Green, Carrie Bychuk and Frank Kwiecien. Grandma's family was her life. In her earlier years, she enjoyed the time spent at her cottage at Sunset Beach. One of her favorite moments in her life was the time she spent in Hawaii with her sisters. She loved being able to garden and pick fresh fruit off of the trees while she was vacationing there, and spending quality time with her sisters. Later on when she moved back to the city, she was thrilled with the arrival of each of her treasured great-grandchildren. Min cherished each moment with her great-grandchildren, and was always happy to cook, bake and make her famous perogies for everyone to enjoy. She was loved by all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Min's memory to the Heart and Stoke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3L 0K6.
