PETER M. PELESHOK It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Peter M. Peleshok on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital. Peter leaves to mourn his beloved wife Mary; daughters, Jean Domitruk (Steve), Olga Barth (Cliff) and Audrey Couch (Charlie). He was the very proud grandfather of Dean Barth, Delaine Barth (fiance Mark Russo), Jeff Domitruk (Mary) and special great-grandson Zachary Domitruk. Peter is also survived by sister Ann Gylywoychuk, nieces, nephews, numerous other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father Michael (1940), mother Maria (1974), sister Stella Stefiuk; brothers, Harry and Johnny and a brother in infancy. Peter was born in Winnipeg on June 14, 1919, was raised and educated in the Tolstoi area. In 1946 he moved his family, including his mother, to Winnipeg. He worked for Silverwood Dairies for 25 years, finishing off at Safety Supply and then ABC Fire and Safety before retiring. As a young man Peter had a passion for baseball and later took up 10 pin bowling and curling. He also enjoyed golfing at Elmhurst with his friends. He was a longtime member of St. Mary The Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Peter was a caring and generous person to everyone. We are blessed to have had him in our lives. He will remain in our hearts forever. Prayers will be held 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 13 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 14 at St. Mary The Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral., 820 Burrows Ave., with Rev. Fr. Dr. J. Buciora officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Delaine Barth, Charles L. Couch, John Rodger and Bill Zack. Active pallbearers will be Dean Barth, Jeff Domitruk, Mark Russo, Ivan Kwasnicki, Peter Solomon and Peter Galloway. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff on 3A St. Anne's ward of Holy Family Nursing Home and the staff of Emergency Department and 5E at St. Boniface Hospital.
