LENA CECELIA DESJARLAIS (GUIBOCHE) (nee MUNROE) August 5, 1938 - March 8, 2006 Peacefully with family by her side at the Riverview Health Centre, our beloved Lena, passed away at the age of 67 years. She is survived by her children, Ken, Bill (Connie), Myrna (Rudy), Brad and their father Celestin Guiboche, grandchildren, Freedom, Sunset, Troy, Krystle, Heather, Kevin and Stefanie, seven great-grandchildren, brothers Cliff Munroe, George (Gloria) Munroe, sisters Rose (Joe) McLeod (Camperville, MB) and Gloria Laquette, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by one aunt Mrs. Catherine Munroe (Winnipegosis, MB) and one uncle Charles McDonald (Birch River, MB). Prayers will be said on Monday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14 at 11 a.m. Both services at Aboriginal Funeral Home with Father Robert Bernardin officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews Bryan Spence, Leslie and Ronald McLeod, Darrell, Cory and Robbie Laquette. The family would like to thank the Riverview Health Centre Staff for their kindness and compassion show to Lena an to us during this difficult time, especially nurses Carol, Tsigereda (her woman in white). In tears we say you sinking We watched you fade away Our hearts were almost broken As you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free of pain, We could not wish you back to suffer that again. So when we're sad and lonely And everything goes wrong, We now we'll hear a whisper Cheer up and Carry on. Each time we see your picture, You seem to smile and say Don't cry I'm only sleeping, We'll meet again some day.
