LARRY WAYNE TODD Peacefully, in the arms of his loving wife, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the Portage District General Hospital Larry Wayne Todd of Portage la Prairie, MB, beloved husband of Pat Todd, father of Ryan, Laurie (Robert) passed away at the age of 45 years. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, MB on Wednesday, March 15, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Larry was born on March 31, 1960, son of Ethel and Norbert Todd at Portage la Prairie, MB. He received his education at the Gainsborough, Crescent View and Arthur Meighen Schools. On June 18, 1982 he married Patricia Bates of Portage. He worked at M.D.C. for 3 years, Woodstone Foods for 9 years, P.M.I. for 9 years and was an owner operator with Bison Transport for 10 years until 2004 will he was forced to retired due to illness. Larry was a member of the Oddfellow's Lodge # 3. His interests included woodworking, listening to music, watching Nascar and reading. His special times were spent with his family and the holiday cruises with Pat. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Pat; son Ryan; and daughter Laurie (Robert) Murray; and his parents, Ethel and Norbert Todd all of Portage la Prairie. Also surviving are his brothers, Norman (Cathy) of Brandon, Steve (Claudette) of Winnipeg; his sisters, Judith (Robert) Tully of Portage, Sheila Todd of Stoney Plain, AB, Sherri (Brad) ToddBarrett of Portage, Brenda (Brian) Fidler of Portage. He will also be sadly missed by his parents-in-laws, Bill and Beatrice Bates of Portage; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim (John) Vrooman, Kelly (Terra) Bates, Gaylene Bates, Valerie Bates (Chris), all of Portage; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his very special man's best friend Magruter . Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made in Larry's name to the Manitoba Cancer Care, Brain Tumor Research C/O the Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Road South, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1T8.
