GERRY FOSTER
Born: Jul 14, 1932
Date of Passing: Mar 08, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERRY FOSTER July 14, 1932 - March 8, 2006 With great sadness we announce the passing of Gerry Foster in Winnipeg. Dad leaves to mourn and remember his partner, Joyce; sons Chris (Jan) and grandchildren Morgan and Mason; Geoff (Louise); daughter, Laura (Diane); sister, Noni (Gerry); and nieces Rena, Leslie and Marla. He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Marion. Dad was first and foremost a people person. During his working years as a sales rep for Canada Cement, he formed many lifelong friendships with clients. Lake of the Woods became the focal point for many good years of lake life for family and friends. Dad had a well honed and irreverent sense of humour and loved telling stories. His cabin was rarely shy of guests. Golf was another thing that Dad took great pleasure - in some days more than others. He definitely enjoyed the retired life, spending many winters in Australia with Joyce. Dad leaves many friends, family members and buddies who will miss him greatly. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillvray Blvd. If friends wish, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 500-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. THOMSON IN THE PARK Funeral Home Cemetery 1291 McGillivray Blvd. 925-1120 (Between Pembina Waverley)

Joyce and All The Foster Family: We were so sorry to read about Gerry. Our fond memories of Gerry are of his humour and descriptive choice of words while telling his stories. We shared several fun times in Australia, whether it was at one of the many "aussie barbies" or whatever the function was. He will be greatly missed. I am sorry to loose a long time friend and not be able to attend his celebration of life. As one of the Rownders from the Pembina Hotel it won't be the same without Gerry. I will always remember his good humour and kindness. - Posted by: Wayne Stewart (Family) on: Mar 11, 2006
